Warranty
PLASTIVAN 10 YEARS LIMITED WARRANTY
Plastivan decorative panels is for internal use only, when installed and maintained as per our instructions, the product is covered by a 10 year warranty against crazing or fading due to U.V light. However, this does not cover any damage caused by misuse, damage through cleaning with abrasive or solvent substances, or through prolonged exposure to direct sunlight. Only a low tack masking tape may be used during installation and removed immediately afterwards.
The warranty applies from the date of purchase onwards. The purchase receipt is used as prove of purchase. The warranty is not transferable and only applies to the first buyer. To obtain replacement products, the original owner must submit proof of the original purchase within thirty (30) days of the date the defect is first discovered or reasonably could have been discovered, and a picture and description of the defective products to: claims@decorplastics.com
Manufacturer' sole liability under this warranty is replacement of the defective product. This warranty shall not cover, and Manufacturer shall not be responsible for, direct, indirect, incidental or consequential damages including but not limited to costs and expenses incurred with respect to the removal of the defective product or installation of the replacement product, including but not limited to labor and freight.
Warranty does not cover and Manufacturer is not responsible for any condition arising from:
(1) Improper installation of Plastivan products;
(2) Failure to follow Plastivan installation guidelines;
(3) Use of Plastivan beyond normal residential use;
(4) Use of Vega Plast in an application not recommended by Plastivan guidelines or local building codes;
(5) Movement, distortion, damage, or collapse due to movement of the ground or the supporting structure on which Vega Plast is built;
(6) Any act of God (such as flooding, hurricane, lightning, earthquake, tornado, etc.) or extreme environmental conditions (such as excessive pollution or acid rain);
(7) Fire or other high temperature;
(8) Improper storage, handling, use, or abuse of Plastivan products by the Purchaser or third parties; or
(9) Use or modification of Plastivan products in a manner other than in accordance with Manufacturer’s instruction.
No person or entity is authorized by Manufacturer to make, and Manufacturer shall not be bound to any statement or representation as to the performance of Plastivan products other than what is contained in this warranty. This warranty shall not be amended or altered except in a written instrument signed by Manufacturer and Purchaser.
With regard to claims where a product has been installed and subjected to a longer period of use, a percentage shall be deducted from the new price for each year of the warranty period scheme.
The annual deductions are as follows:
For the first 5 years after the date of purchase: 15% of the initial price per year.
For the following years:
Residential use: 5% of the initial price per year during next 5 years
Commercial use: 8% of the initial price per year during next 3 years*
For commercial use the warranty is limited to 8 years
